Nick & Karen Nickelson
Nick, Karen and Katy Jo Nickelson migrated to Fort Worth in 1999. Katy Jo was just starting the first grade and was already living in her 5th different city! Now, Fort Worth feels like home for as long as this great town will have us. Our son Brian lives in Pearland with his beautiful wife Marla. Trae and our grandson Ran live in Houston. Katy Jo is a Sophmore at Arlington Heights High School and a swimmer, scholar, ice skater, and member of FFA. Nick and Karen met in the Army. Karen is a retired Army nurse and is active in local volunteer programs. Her nursing skills come in handy supporting her cowboy microbiologist husband (Don’t ask!). Nick is with Standard Meat Company (one of the best companies to work for in all of DFW!) and most proud of his family, chuck wagon and awesome cooking. He also supports several the scholarship programs for food business related organizations and volunteers for the Fort Worth Livestock Show. The Nickelsons are all blessed to be members of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church.
