Bobby & Donna Azemi
Bobby Albanese is pictured with his wife Donna Gazideda Azemi and daughter Lira Azemi. Although the degree in Architecture was his passion, Bobby has been one of Fort Worth’s favorite restaurateurs with his authentic Italian restaurants for the last 20 years, graduating with PIOLA in the cultural district. Donna joined Bobby in Texas after graduating from Wesleyan University in CT and has called Texas her home for the last 8 years. At the moment enjoying the holiday season with Lira and working with Bobby, but also working on opening a new restaurant that she will call her own.

Sue & Jim Lavender have lived in Tarrant County for 33 years, after both growing up in Dallas. Jim has worked for Ben E. Keith Foods for 42 years. As Executive Vice President, Jim serves in leadership with several industry boards. Sue has been involved with the public schools for over 30 years. She enjoys serving on a number of boards; The Learning Center of North Texas, the Cotton Bowl, Partners of the Life Shelter, and the Scovell Scholarship Foundation. Sue and Jim are active members of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. Their son Scott is a graduate of Texas A&M, as well as, Dallas Theological Seminary, and he works in the oil and gas industry in Fort Worth. Their daughter Kathryn, is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, and son-in-law Eric Keaton is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. They have two children, Mackenzie (8) and Colin (6). Her twin sister Lacey is a graduate from Texas Tech, and her husband Chris, graduated from Texas A&M. They have two children, Addison (8), and Mary Elizabeth (4). A fun weekend activity is spending time at Cantera Ranch near Priddy, TX. The entire Lavender family participates in the Scovell Scholarship Foundation which honors High School graduates with college scholarships.

1996. He also works with the Armed Forces bowl committee and the Crown Plaza Invitational Golf Tournament. Bobbie is involved with McLean Middle School and Tangelwood Elementary where the girls go to school. The whole family is active with Tennis and Golf at Colonial Country club, and members of Christ Chapel Bible Church.

A true and proud Horned Frog Family, Bill is currently in his 24th season as the TCU head men’s golf coach and 32nd overall season at the university. As the longest tenured Coach at TCU, Bill has elevated the Horned Frog Golf team into a position of national prominence and the model for building one of the top collegiate golf programs in the country. Bill serves as a member of the United States Golf Association as well as the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Margaret is employed with Macy’s and gives her free time to family and a number of community and educational organizations. Kelli graduated from TCU in 2010 and Thomas is a freshman at TCU and a member of the Frog’s men’s basketball program.

Mojy is the President and founder of CHS Architects since it was founded in 1984 with projects in his unique style, at local, national and international level. He is also the president of an affiliated commercial development company, Oakhollow Group. Mojy holds three degrees from UT-Arlington; a B.S. in Architecture, Master’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning. Mojy moved to Arlington in 1974 and has been very active in the community and civic organizations. He has served on numerous boards and commissions throughout his career and most recently: Board of Directors of Super Bowl XLV Host Committee; Chairman of the Arlington Chamber and Foundation; President of the Arlington Sports Authority; Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the list goes on.
Mojy has also been the recipient of many awards including the Distinguished Alumni of the Year from UT-Arlington; design awards from American Institute of Architects, downtown Fort Worth, Inc and other organizations. Most recently, Mojy and his wife Julia were both awarded the prestigious "Torch of Hope Award" by the Cancer Research Foundation of North Texas. Julia, a full time Mom, is a native Texan and has been married to Mojy for 30 years. They have four children together; Sheila recently received her B.S. in Biology from UT-Arlington and a B.S. in Dental Lab Sciences from UT-San Antonio; Cameron and Cheyenne are both attending UT-Arlington and major in business / real estate and Sophia is attending Junior High in Arlington.

Forty years after leaving TCU and Ft. Worth, Nick & Nancy moved to Westworth Village in 2005. Nancy has been volunteering with 1st Tee, the Westworth Village Garden Club and serving on advisory board for Burton Hill School and plants seasonal color flowers for the school. She will be president fo teh Shady Oaks Ladies Golf Association. in 2011. Nick Serves on the Westworth Village City Council and is President of the Crime Control District Board. He serves on the Westworth Development Board as well as several other TCU organizations. He is also President of the Westworth Park Property Owners Association and has served on the Shady Oaks membership committee for the past 5 years.

Bill & Marsha Rickett
The Rickett family: Bill, Marsha, Daughter Cindy, son-in-law, Kelye, granddaughter, Madisen, and grandson, Trey, are truly a native Texas family. Bill & Marsha are high school sweethearts from Irving, Texas, and have been married for 47 years. They had 2children, but sadly, their son Scott passed away in 2002, after a life long battle with muscular dystrophy. Bill attended SMU & UTA before starting his own business, Dynamo Corp. in the early 70's. In 2003 he sold the company to Brunswick Corp. and is now retired. Cindy is a TCU graduate with a Master's degree in Christian counseling from Southwestern Baptist. Son-in-law, Kelye Stites, attended TCU before starting his own company called Champion Shuffleboard. He recently bought Dynamo Corp. back from Brunswick, bringing the original business back into the family. Granddaughter, Madisen, is a senior at Heritage high school in Colleyville. She is a
member of the National Honor Society, the National Charity League, the National Spanish Honor Society, and the varsity golf team. Grandson, Trey, is also a student at Heritage high school. He plays baseball and umpires for little league teams. He is also a huge fan of TCU and the Texas Rangers baseball team. The entire family is involved in charity works such as: Cancer Research Foundation, Make-A-Wish, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Mid Cities Pregnancy Prevention Center to name a few.

He and Kathy have served their passion with Bible Study Fellowship for the last 20 years and currently serve as the teaching leaders for the Fort Worth Young Adult Class. Kathy graduated from Midwestern State University ('80) while Scott and Ryan graduated from TCU ('81 and '08). Rachel is enjoying her freshman year at Texas A&M (Whoop! '14).

Steve and Sally have been in business in the area for many years. Steve is CEO of Lockwood Holdings, with interests in commercial real estate, oil and gas ventures, general investments and cattle ranching. He is currently serving as a Board Member of Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex and American National Bank. He is on the Board of Advisors for The Green Oaks School and Grace Prepatory Academy.
Sally retired from Classic Attractions, Inc. in 2003. She is currently a member of Scotswood Garden Club and the Arlington Women's Club. Both Steve and Sally were active with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, which cares for and are custodians of the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. Sally is being honored at the Cancer Research Foundation of North Texas' Torch of Hope as an Angel of Hope Recipient on October 22, 2010.
Steve and Sally enjoy spending as much time with their family as possible. Their grand children Ericka, Dylan, Brock and Jacob are very special to them.

Loyd, an avid runner and marathon participant, has been with Cook Children’s Healthcare System for the past six years and is currently the Vice President of Revenue Cycle. Cathi is a substitute teacher at Hidden Lakes Elementary in Keller and a full-time mom on the go. Samantha, a 4th grader at Hidden Lakes, participates in many activities including soccer and gymnastics. This busy family enjoys riding bikes, playing basketball, spending time in the pool and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Dr. Leslie James and his wife, Michelle, are featured with their family. Leslie recently retired as Assistant Superintendent from Fort Worth ISD. He now serves as the Executive Director of The Learning Center of North Texas. He is thrilled to be helping individuals maximize their learning potential in his new position. Michelle is a career elementary teacher in Birdville ISD.
The four generations pictured here include Leslie's parents, Clayburn and Mildred James; and Michelle's mother, Nada Harris. Their sons Brandon and Jerod, as well as Jerod's wife, Tawnya, are all Tarleton State University graduates. Jerod and Tawnya have three children, Hunter, Kaylee, and baby Brynlee. "Colonel Richard Scobee and his wife Janis are proud to serve Fort Worth as the 301st Fighter Wing Commander and First Lady of Carswell. Richard is a Texas native and has served over 24 years in the U.S. Air Force, including 6 combat tours. His most recent was to Iraq for 7 months. He is a graduate of the Air Force Academy and received his MBA from the University of South Carolina. Janis, a Kentucky native, is a recent graduate from the Culinary School of Fort Worth and will be opening a private chef company soon. She has also been instrumental in reinvigorating the Key Spouse Program for the base, a program that supports the families of deployed members. Rich and Janis both feel that there is no place that embraces the military quite like Fort Worth. Our ties to the community are much stronger here than any place we’ve been before."

Dick Ruddell is President of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, The T. He has held that position for 7 years, after coming to Fort Worth from Toledo, Ohio, where he ran the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority. Dick serves on the Downtown Fort Worth Inc. Board of Directors and the United Way of Tarrant County Board of Directors. He also serves on the Texas Transit Association Board of Directors and the Vice President of the South West Transit Association. Sherry Ruddell is a substitute teacher at Oakmont Elementary School in the Crowley ISD and is a private piano teacher for many aspiring young piano players. She's a past board member of the Fort Worth Symphony League. Sherry & Dick both graduated from Witchita State University. Chris is an Associate Pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church in Arlington. Chris graduated from The Ohio State University with a Masters Degree in Accounting and was a CPA with Price WaterhouseCooper, before leaving the accounting profession to attend St. Paul's Seminary in Kansas City. He met his future wife, Crystal, at seminary. Crystal is an Associate Pastor with First United Methodist Church in Hurst. Their dog, Sage has no degree or profession at this time. Dick & Sherry also have a daughter, Jessica, who lives in Dayton, OH with her husband, Nathan Nielsen. Jessica manages a Big Boy Restaurant."

Marty is C.E.O. of Englander Container and Display, a designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging and displays, signs and banners, and other creative point-of-sale items. Englander has manufacturing, design and sales locations in Waco, San Antonio, Carrollton, and Rogers, AR.
Both Marilyn and Marty are active at Beth-El Congregation, with Marty currently serving as the board President-Elect. Marty also serves on the Tarrant County board of Big Brothers Big Sisters and is the current Education Chair of the Fort Worth Young President’s Organization. His debut novel has already garnered rave reviews from the press and fellow authors. Sherri is a realtor with the Arlington office of Ebby Halliday, and is an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Boys and Girls Club. She is a past co-Chair of the Cinderella Ball, Arlington’s longest-running charity fundraiser. Ashley is a 2009 graduate of the Harris School of Nursing at TCU, and works as a Registered Nurse in the Stem Cell Transplant Unit of Medical City Dallas Hospital. Featured here are Drs. Scott and Elizabeth Ransom and their three children. Having moved to Fort Worth just four years ago, the Ransom family proudly calls Cowtown their home. Scott is the President and a Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Health Management and Policy at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Elizabeth serves as the Chief Quality Officer at Texas Health Harris Southwest Medical Center and is a practicing otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon at Central Park ENT, P.C. Kelly, a graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School, is majoring in Political Science and French at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Christopher is a football and basketball player entering the tenth grade at Southwest Christian School. Sarah is active playing volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading as an eighth grader at Fort Worth Country Day School.

Barry & Leah King
Pictured at the entry to their So7 Townhouse are Barry and Leah King. They say they love living in the Museum District and all it has to offer, but their favorite thing that Fort Worth had to offer them was each other, where they met more than fifteen years ago. After over 25 years in the advertising industry, Barry and his brother formed their own gourmet sauce company, Brothers Sauces. Leah is the Senior Director of Public Affairs for Chesapeake Energy in Fort Worth working on local municipal issues. She serves on several area non-profit boards of directors including The Child Study Center Foundation, Communities In Schools, North Texas Clean Air Coalition and Circle Theater. Brothers Sauces has three gourmet BBQ/grilling sauces sold at Central Market, Market Street, Whole Foods and Roy Pope stores as well as on the company’s online website. The King Brothers just launched their great, great grandmother’s dessert sauce from a recipe she created in 1895-Granny Georgia's Brown Suga Dessert Sauce. Barry was recently elected as a new board member to the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce. The King's are members of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Arlington.

He is the 1994 graduate of Texas A&M University and has received the Fort Worth Business Press 40-Under-40 Award in 2003, the Associate Member of the Year Award from the Texas Society of Architects in 2003, and the Young Professional Award from the Fort Worth Chapter American Insitute of Architects in 2002. In his spare time, Jason enjoys bicycling and "collecting" Robert Graham. Stacia is a Speech Language Pathologist for the Fort Worth Independent School District and has been with the district 14 years. She is the 1996 masters degree graduate of The University of North Texas. In her spare time, Stacia enjoys reading and scrapbooking. Jason, a Fort Worth native, and Stacia an Arlington native, met January of 2005, have been happily married since June 2007.

The companies specialize in a wide array of industrial, OEM, point-of-purchase and team, sport and school graphics. Christensen employs over 50 at their Fort Worth headquarters. Gayle works as CFO of Seebeck and Associates in NRH.

Jeff & Kim Halstead are pictured here with their 2 sons, Jack and Jordan, and their dog, Sierra. Jeff is the 24th Chief of Police for the Fort Worth Police Department and took office in December of 2008 after a 20-year career with the Phoenix Police Department. Kim is a native Texan, the youngest of 4 siblings (only daughter) and is happy to be back in the Lone Star State where her family eagerly waited for her return. Jeff leads the most successful police department as it relates to “Community Based Policing” and has learned what makes Fort Worth special…, Community, Family, and Safety. Although he is new to Fort Worth, he is no stranger to challenges. When he was 19 years old and a college student in south Florida studying law enforcement, he was beat up and injured by a police officer, witnessed by his best friend. This changed his career path immediately. In 1986, he met Kim on a blind date in Houston. That same night he called his parents and told them, “I met the girl I want to marry.” After getting married in 1987, they moved to Phoenix to start a new chapter together. The desire to serve the community and start a family motivated Jeff to apply for various police departments in the Phoenix area. Jeff and Kim started their family and grew to love the Phoenix area but something was missing. Being alone in the desert can prove to be very tough and once the city of Fort Worth announced they were looking for a new Chief, Jeff decided to apply. At the same time, Kim built a successful interior design business and weathered the declining home building market in 2006-2008. Kim still loves to assist friends and families with her artistic talents and is considering how to use these talents in this wonderful city. Their son Jack is a junior at the University of Arizona and plans to attend law school in Texas. Jordan just graduated from Brewer High School and will be attending the University of Texas at Arlington in the fall. The Halstead family lives everyday with a “family first” attitude and is proud to call Fort Worth their new home!

Major General Frank J. & Vicky Padilla
Major General Frank J. Padilla and his wife, Vicky, are pictured here along with their dog, Chandler. General Padilla is the Commander, Headquarters, 10th Air Force, located at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas. Gen Padilla is most noted for leading the effort of establishing Balad Air Base, Iraq and developing the new Iraq Air Force. He is also credited with driving the establishment of the Afghan National Army Air Corps. As the Commander of 10th Air Force, General Padilla is responsible for all the fighter, bomber, space, special operations, rescue, remotely piloted aircraft, and undergraduate pilot training for the Air Force Reserve Command. More than 13,000 personnel are assigned to 10th Air Force at units located throughout the United States. General Padilla and Vicky are the parents of two grown children, daughter Katy Padilla, an Air Force C-5 pilot stationed at Travis AFB, Calif., and son Frank N. Padilla, who also makes his home in California. In the general’s civilian career, he is a Captain with American Airlines.

Pictured here are Mark Caffey and his daughter. Mark was raised in Arlington and attended Lamar High School and graduated from Austin College, in Austin, Texas. In 1999 Mark founded the Caffey Group, located in Fort Worth, which specializes in the development of oil and natural gas in urban settings. Mark started the "Just say NO to drugs” program for Speer Elementary School in Arlington, Texas. He supports local charities such as the North Texas Cancer Society, Cooks Children's Hospital, Birdville Education Foundation and the Arlington Museum of Art. Mark is a past chairman of the Mid-Cities March of Dimes, Walk America and currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Vernon Wells Perfect 10 Foundation and the Board of Directors for the Arlington Boys & Girls Club. As a child, Mark attended the Boys & Girls Club of Arlington for after-school and summer activities. The Boys & Girls Club is a Non-Profit organization that provides programs and services to help youth achieve their full potential. “This is where I learned respect and how to be a team player. The club was everything to me,” says Mark. Embraced by a need to give back, Mark and his family continue to contribute to the community.

Herbert is the owner of Buttons, the wildly popular restaurant/live music venue on Fort Worth's west side. Although Herbert is a transplant from New York, in the last fifteen years he has come to love Ft. Worth. Carolyn spends her time modeling and working as a fashion consultant. Bill & Roxanne Cothern pictured here with their family. Bills is a dermatologist, and owner of Dermatology and Laser Center in Fort Worth. Bill has served as President of the Fort Worth Dermatology Society and on boards of Cancer Care Services and McKinney Memorial Bible Church. Currently, he teaches medical students and residents as Clinical Assistant Professor at University of North Texas Health Science Center. Roxanne enjoys her greenhouse, where she pots seasonal flowers, has as herb garden, and is testing her skills with orchids. When she is not gardening, Roxanne is involved in leadership and teaching at her church. While the couple welcome the opportunity to be hospitable, and often host extended family, various friends, as well as church and civic functions, Bill & Roxanne both agree their favorite new interest is being grandparent to nine month old grandaughter, Ave Grace. Daughter Loren works as a Global Trade Show Specialist for Bell Helicopter. Son-in-law Trevor, is employed by BBVA Compass Bank as a Commercial Relationship Manager. They are the proud parents of Ava Grace Baker. Meredith currently works as a Medical Assistant for Dermatology and Laser Center of Fort Worth. Nick, Karen and Katy Jo Nickelson migrated to Fort Worth in 1999. Katy Jo was just starting the first grade and was already living in her 5th different city! Now, Fort Worth feels like home for as long as this great town will have us. Our son Brian lives in Pearland with his beautiful wife Marla. Trae and our grandson Ran live in Houston. Katy Jo is a Sophmore at Arlington Heights High School and a swimmer, scholar, ice skater, and member of FFA. Nick and Karen met in the Army. Karen is a retired Army nurse and is active in local volunteer programs. Her nursing skills come in handy supporting her cowboy microbiologist husband (Don’t ask!). Nick is with Standard Meat Company (one of the best companies to work for in all of DFW!) and most proud of his family, chuck wagon and awesome cooking. He also supports several the scholarship programs for food business related organizations and volunteers for the Fort Worth Livestock Show. The Nickelsons are all blessed to be members of Arlington Heights United Methodist Church.

Buzz Fence was recently named 2010 Small Business of the Year by the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce. Eric & Denise are Texas Tech graduates and long time Fort Worth residents. Eric is the Finance Chairman of the YMCA Board of Directors and a member of Leadership Fprt Worth. Denise is very active in Bible Study Fellowship and a member of the Texas Rangers Baseball Advisory Board. They have been members of Travis Avenue Baptist Church for over 25 years. Son Andrew and wife Jessica, Baylor graduates, live in Grapevine and Andrew practices law in Southlake, Jessica is a medical office manager. Daughter Sarah Lindsey, a University Texas graduate, and husband John, a graduate of University of Alabama, live in Dallas. Sarah is the Interior Coordinator for Southern Living Design Homes and John practices law in Dallas. Daughter Caroline is a Junior Pre-Med/Biology major at the University of Texas at Austin.

John and Alison Kelley are not native to Fort Worth, but they can think of no better place to call “home”. They moved from Houston in 1999, after John completed dental school and his orthodontic residency at the University of Texas Dental Branch. John is an orthodontist with Kelley Orthodontics, located in central Fort Worth. He is also an active member of the Cook Children’s Hospital Craniofacial Team and enjoys being involved in transforming the smiles and lives of children born with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial abnormalities.
Alison is a full-time mother of four: Rebekah (9), Joshua (7), Caleb (4), and Mary Jane (2). When not homeschooling, she can be found teaching aerobics and mentoring young ladies. John and Alison are active members of Christ Chapel Bible Church and Bible Study Fellowship. They are big fans and supporters of Young Life, H.O.P.E. Farm, and Tarrant Net Ministries. They also have a special place in their heart for Gladney Center for Adoption, having adopted one of their children from Russia.

Robert and Inga Dow are pictured with their family, Michelle and Marshall. A third generation Fort Worth native, Robert is the owner of Silver Creek Materials which was founded over 25 years ago. Silver Creek Materials is a multi-faceted business that includes mining, composting, recycling and salt water injection well. Inga has been in the real estate business for over 15 years in Austin, Dallas, and Fort Worth and is the owner of three Keller Williams real estate offices with over 200 agents in Fort Worth, Eagle Mountain Lake, and Burleson. Michelle is currently studying business at Tarrant County College and Marshall is a freshman at the University of Texas in Arlington with a major in Computer Science. The Dow family was lucky that their Labrador, Aspen, woke up long enough to join them in this photo in the backyard of their Mira Vista home.
